Obituary for Napier Fulton Breen

Mr. N. Fulton Breen, age 88, of Orange City, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at the Prairie Ridge Care Center in Orange City.

There was a private family service with the The Rev. Fr. Daniel Greving officiating. A memorial mass will be observed at The Cathedral of Christ the King in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City assisted the family.

Fulton was born on April 27, 1931, to William Hixon and Henrietta (Fulton) Breen, in Atlanta, Georgia, where he lived for the majority of his life. Fulton and his wife Betty moved to Orange City in 2014. Fulton’s lifelong interests were traveling and exploring new places.

Fulton’s father was an architect for the Railway Express Agency and designed railway stations. As a child, Fulton began traveling with his father throughout the South. Two tours on a Navy destroyer took Fulton throughout much of the North Atlantic during the Korean Conflict. Years later he traveled to Africa to visit his daughter in the Peace Corps.

Fulton worked as a supervisor in management and quality control in Atlanta businesses, and at the Cathedral of Christ the King, where he oversaw church archival records.

Fulton and Betty spent much of their years together traveling to Europe, the Middle East, Canada, and throughout the United States.

Fulton is survived by his wife Betty; his brother William; his son Fulton; his daughters, Anna, Becky, Mary, and Bridget; and his stepson Michael.
